  • Missouri State Capitol 201 West Capitol Avenue Jefferson City, MO, 65101 United States (map)

Featured Speakers:

  • Suzanne Luther‍ ‍is currently running to represent the people of Jefferson City in the Missouri House of Representatives. She is a lifelong resident, a former educator, an elected member of the local public school board, and lead plaintiff in the case against unconstitutional mid-decade redistricting, Luther v. Hoskins, which went before the Missouri Supreme Court March 12. As a state representative, Suzanne will put people first and prioritize policies to help Missourians live a life they can afford and create a future they deserve.

  • Michelle Trupiano is the Executive Director of Beacon, formerly the Missouri Family Health Council. A lifelong advocate for reproductive freedom and healthcare as a human right, she has spent more than 20 years working to expand access to care, shift power, and dismantle barriers — especially for historically marginalized communities. Michelle is committed to ensuring that healthcare is a human right for every Missourian, no matter who they are or where they live.

  • Gary Thomas is a labor leader and elected officer of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 249, representing more than 10,000 workers in the Kansas City area, including employees at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo In his leadership role, he helps strengthen collective bargaining, advocate for fair wages and safe workplaces, and advance economic dignity for working families. Thomas has also been active in building solidarity between labor and community groups, emphasizing the important role unions play in protecting workers’ rights and strengthening local communities.

  • Britt Giger is a Matriarch from the Giger Family, residing on land in Rolla, Missouri. She is a local Mother working with good people, to do good things. Currently, she is creating a living example of what art, love, and magic look like for a community centered on collective care. She spends her time with silly gooses and has hope for humanity.

  • Dennis Figg is a writer, lecturer, and local. After a career in wildlife diversity conservation, he became a respected voice in Missouri and nationally on protecting endangered species, wildlife habitat, and climate adaptation. The current threats to democratic institutions have compelled him to step forward once again. Today he speaks out to defend the democratic principles that make conservation, community, and civic life possible—including the fundamental right of every citizen to have a fair voice in our elections.

  • Jennie Loomis is a community artist whose work has brightened this rally and our public library alike. A tireless mother of five, a proud former Army brat, and a dedicated civic activist, Jennie channels her creativity and compassion into everything she does. Her passion for building a better community — and a stronger country — shines through in both her art and her action.
